Beautiful Weather, Running Late, Creative Mode All Day, Pun#31

 Well, sorry to be late today. The cold front arrived and the weather today was delightful. Three more days before the humidity and dew points return, though not as high as we have had before the cold front and our  eighth 100°day this year. Normal is 20. Today was a long sleve day for the shirts.

Been in a creative mode all day long. Still feel creative and making notes. I have a creative train ride coming up. Will ride DART to DFW. Walk from terminal A to terminal B, board the TEXrail and ride it to Ft. Worth to the TP Station (Texas and Pacific) where I will board the TRE (Trinity Rail Express) and come back into Dallas Union Station where I will catch the DART RED Line back home. While in Ft. Worth, depending on the time, I might ride the bus down to the Stockyards and have either lunch or dinner. It has been awhile since being in the stockyards. There has been a lot of changes made since my last trip.

 Well, Astrological fall arrives at 2:20 cst here in Dallas tomorrow. Out first really strong fall cold front arrived early this morning and it is absolutely delightful outside. The Arboretum fall displays of 90,000 pumpkins and gourds is now time to go while the displays are set up. Also, the Texas State Fair opens this weekend in Fair Park and it will be great to go walk the grounds and have a Corney dog. The deep fired selection for this year is also very interesting.

 If you haven't figured it out yet, I am doing some changes inside my computer. Some of the things that I say may sound simple. Well, some times they are. Then, there are the times when they sound simple and they are more like meant to draw a response. Got to remember, there are a dozen countries that read this blog daily and it is increasing. So, like I learned a long time ago about retail, never fall in love with your products. That same philosophy also fits to readership. Watching what goes on has always paid big dividends in the form of being a go-to- place to read the other side of the world. Appreciation to my readers in all countries is the goal. Big one, at that. But, you never know until you try.

In down time, I have been working on my weak link: night photography.

Southern Methodist (SMU) University and the parking lot of the Methodist Church in University Park. I love signs like this!

This guy, was so comical. He flagged me down to take this picture. The new dorms on Bush Street across from the Bush Presidential Center are seen over the University Park fence along NCX, more known as Central Expressway US 75 South bound just before Mockingbird Exit. It is across from its new name,  SMU/Mockingbird Station so as to better reflect it's association with SMU. It certainly helps being an ex-president and neighbor within  a 10 mile circle. 

 

Enjoy the last weekend of astrological summer. Fall arrives Wednesday, officially. Might try to get out to Addison for Oktoberfest at Addison Circle tomorrow. No Guarantees.

 We do like having you as a reader. Got to have a little fun now and then. Then, I got to thiking, my customers on Zazzle need a little humor too. So, I started adding color to some of my products. Then, remembering what mom also ran her life by, "Just keeping it simple." So I did. Hope you enjoy that side of this blog and the little things that help pay the bills to maintain the web site.

Pun #25. Amazingly wierd to have 4 watching 15 sunrises and sets a day.

 While  growing up watching the launch of Alan Shepard  into the sky and, every one thereafter on television, was interesting in my childhood. Must admit, the lunar landings and take off were a bit nerve-racking, but it became second place to me emotionally. 

That nerve-racking ritual happened twice this year already with the billionaire space race launches and returns. Now, we have 4 average Joe's circling the planet for three days, higher than the international space station at 357 miles above earth. There is some puzzlement with the return and the heat shield that the private brand capsule has. There was some attempt to answer that question with Mr. Bezos' flying machine. 

Well wishes go out to these human Guinea pigs. Yes, it slipped out in a reporters attempt to explain to people that they were doing science projects as to how  much radiation their blood would get etc.,etc., without the training the "real" astro guys have. Hence, they are serving as Guinea pigs.That does not bother me as much as this: Wrapping my brain around the fact that people (for what ever excuse they give)  will not go get a simple shot to end this pandemic, but other average Joe's are sailing around the earth 5 times a day. Excuse me, but that's just insane. Enough.... here comes the pun! (for today that is #25)
