Great Lunch with Brother and Sister-in-law.

Ate to much good food.  Now, it's time for # 14 Pun in the series, which is going to be shorter than anticipated. It seems that some of the first page of puns is repeated as page 3. AARGH! Sorry, 'bout that.

Pun # 14:

" In democracy your vote counts. In feudalism your count votes."

Must Be Doing Something Right!

Someone tried to throw me a curve this morning.

So, I prayed for them to give up their hate!

Off To An Early Start Ahead of the pun at the end of this post.

This crossing gate is from the original crossing and tracks. The tracks on both sides of this crossing will be replaced after the construction with new rail by Herzog Co. It is also the site for emergency first responders should one be needed.

Readers, let the pun for today begin.

Pun # 13: "A backward poet writes in verse"

Giggle Time

It's time for a little giggle!

Ready? Here is pun #10.

"A bicycle can't stand on its own because it is two-tired".

Check out the image in the middle between the two pumpkins. The flag at half staff is a bank. The Flag  at full stall is a US Post Office.

The point  to be made here is this: What ever happened to the President being the only one that could order flags to fly at half staff.  I grew up under that rule.  When three flags fly---the President would order the federal flag to fly at half mask. But the state and company would also be lowered  to half staff. If a company flag is lowered to half mast, then the other two remain at full staff. But, under no circumstances should either the state or a company flag fly higher than the US Flag.

I took the time to ask the manager at the Bank of America why their flag was at half staff and the US Post Office was at full staff. In short, the Bank flag (also a US FLag)  should be at half staff along with the US Flag.He said that the property manager determined when the flag was lowered. Hince the heck with the President of the US. it seems. Point made.

Every one talks about rules. And it seems that people do what they want. And of course you  can't count on social media to know what it was like in the early 1950 when every one respected the US Flag. It also seems to me (1960's was warning about the future generations not getting oral history passed alone from their parents) never did get passed alone.

I once ask someone, who died and pointed to a similar situation like this and no one knew. Another point made. Everyone talkes about their freedom and the like but do they really know what freedom is?

Cannot do any hurkle-durkling or any WCS. I already burned that candle on Wednesday

What the heck is he talking about? You don't want the long answer because that goes back 200 years where it began as a Scots term. The ...
